Chocolate Maple Lava Cake

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate pieces

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 cup Tap That Maple Sugar

  • 1/2 tsp maple extract

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 6 tbsp all purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat over to 425 degrees F.

  2. Use double boiler to melt chocolate, then add the butter to melt in the chocolate.

  3. Remove chocolate from the double boiler and add the maple sugar, maple extract, eggs, egg yolks and whisk together.

  4. Slowly mix in flour.

  5. Butter 4 ramekins (souffle dishes) and pour batter into them.  Put in oven and bake for 13-15 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven and wait 5 minutes to turn cakes onto a plate and serve warm.
