
Maple Cookies- version 2
Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup Tap That Maple Sugar

1 egg

1 cup Tap That Maple Syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp maple extract

2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

4 cups all purpose flour
Maple Icing

2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
1/3 cup maple syrup
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, syrup, vanilla and maple extract and combined well.

Add flour, salt and baking soda. Combined well.

Shape into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheets. Option to roll in granular sugar before baking.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes and let cool on wire racks.

For icing- in a small saucepan melt butter and maple syrup together. Whisk in a pinch of salt and powdered sugar. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Icing can take up to 1 hour to set.
